Placing and managing trades

The ticket, slippage, your position, and closing.

The ticket is the whole trade

The ticket beside the chart is everything: the trade, how much goes in, and what happens in each outcome, before anything is sent. There's no separate review step: the order goes when you press its button. Details has the fees, the breakeven and the exact contracts on the exchange.

What you see is an estimate

Payouts, chances and entry prices come from the live order book and can move before your order fills.

Max slippage is how far past the best price you'll accept: 0.5%, 1%, 3% or 5%, or any figure from 0.1% to 10%. Whatever can't fill inside it is cancelled; what did fill is kept. Limit orders aren't affected. It sits just above the order button, and in Settings › Presets (on a phone, Orders); it's remembered on this device and used by every market order and close, on every venue.

Your position

When you hold something in the market on screen, the ticket gets a second tab, Your position: what it's worth now, what it pays, and Close.

KindClosing
PerpsIn part (25%, 50%) or all. Take-profit, stop and trailing stop live here too, and on the chart.
PredictSells your shares, at market or at a price.
OptionsIn one go, at the market price. Options you leave alone settle by themselves.

Your portfolio

Portfolio lists every open trade on every venue, priced live, with your history and P&L. Each row opens its market on its position tab. You can also share any trade you hold from there: see Traders and copying.

Sharing a trade

A trade you hold can be shared as a card and a link: press P&L on its market, or the share button on its row in Portfolio. The card is priced live each time it's opened, so it always shows how the trade is doing now.

On a computer the card is landscape, the same one your link shows on X and in chats; on your phone it's portrait, made for a story or a chat. Untick what you'd rather keep to yourself: the dollar P&L (the card then shows only the return), where you bought and sold on its chart, and your referral code. Then copy the image, copy the link, or share it straight to an app.

Your referral code rides on the link unless you switch it off, and whoever joins with it gets 10% off fees.

Share P&L on Portfolio makes the same kind of card for how you've done over the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, in dollars or as a return. Its second tab, Top traders, shares noct's best traders over that period.
