How fees are calculated

noct uses a parabolic fee formula tied to the market price at fill time. Fees are highest at 50/50 odds — where uncertainty is greatest — and lowest at extreme prices.

Where fees can go

Fees can create several reward or accounting entries:
  • Cashback — 5–20% back to the trader based on their tier
  • Referral rewards — up to 30% distributed across up to three referral tiers
  • Copy trade rewards — 25% to the noct leader being copied (when applicable)
  • Platform — the remainder funds operations
Not every trade triggers every reward path. Copy trade rewards only apply when a copy relationship exists on noct. Referral rewards only flow if the trader has a referrer chain.

Cashback is earned automatically on every fill. The rate depends on your lifetime volume and never resets.
